Gorgeous George is a bit of a character. Sure, he's just like any other thoroughbred when it comes to racing, with his competitive spirit and fiery spirit. But no, that's not entirely correct. Not every thoroughbred loves to run and win. George has a huge passion for racing, and a deep love of racing to win. He loves the feeling of turf beneath his feet, and the exhilaration of speeding past the other horses to be first over the line. Off the track he's something else. Depending on his mood, Georgie will either be as cuddly as your favourite teddy, or as demonic as the devil himself. George seems to draw courage and bravado when he wins or places second, comes out the same as before the race when he places third, and if he places out of the money, he gets kinda depressed for a few days. Fortunately, it doesn't affect him the next time he races, and he is always fired up for a win. There has never been a day when we have felt George isn't trying his best.

Racing Style:

Depending on the length of the race and the field size, George tends to run either behind the leaders or mid pack. Usually in a race of eight furlongs or less, he runs in about third place, just keeping his cool until the leaders tire and fall back. Then he starts to increase his speed, and is going full out by the time there is just one and a half furlongs to go. In a race of nine furlongs or more, George adopts a more conservative style, running towards the back of the pack and starting his run for the win sooner. Of course, field size also affects how he runs his race. In a small field of five or less, he will run usually in about third place no matter the distance. For a large field, George varies his placing depending on the length of the race.
