Glory is sparky, full of life and ever ready. He seems to love running unconditionally - in fact, one might even say he's obsessed. His one true love is Sarah Star, his owner, rider, and best friend. He won't run for anyone else - in fact, at the beginning of this boy's two year old season, he had to be lunged everyday by Sarah (who had broken her wrist falling off a certain Studly Dudley) to keep up his fitness because he absolutely wouldn't have another soul up on his back. Glory goes quite quietly for Sarah. Well not quietly - that's the wrong word to use - he just does as she says without question or argument. They work together as flawlessly as though they were one.

Glory has a funny way of asking for his dinner. He paces his stall, bobbing his head and snorting loudly. He lays back his ears; stretches his neck, turns his head so that it is sideways; then wobbles his lips. When his food finally arrives, he nods his head and whickers with gratitude before plunging his muzzle right into it.

On the track, Glory has his issues with the gate. He regards it as a huge metal monster that'll swallow him up if he doesn't get out quick enough. In fact, Glory only puts up with it: a) because it's his only ticket into a race, and b) he trusts Sarah completely and does everything she asks of him.

Pedigree: Armidale x Bank On Silver

Pedigree Comments: Armidale was one of the top racing stallions in SAI's barn in his time. He won, placed or showed in over half of his races, and seemed to prefer the dirt over the turf.
Bank On Silver seems to have done the most work in producing Glory. They are the same height, same build and same colour - the only thing different in their personalities is that Glory is spunkier and more outgoing. Silver was Horse of The Year and inducted into the Hall Of Fame at the end of her successful racing career, and has passed her success on to all of her current foals.

Alot of high hopes are riding on Glory. He is carrying on the legacy of his G1 HOF ex race mare dam, Bank On Silver, considered one of the best broodmares on GHF. Glory certainly has alot of weight on his back, and we hope he can live up to his older siblings, his dam's and his sire's successes on the track. Glory is half brother to Euphoria, Lusitania, and Impressario. All of which are great successes on the track. He seems to have the same sort of personality as Ario - except he's a spunky grey, the image of Bank On Silver. He is the first grey to be born from the mare, and we take it as a sign that he will be just as great as she is.

Racing Style:

Glory is quite rigid with his racing style. He has to be just behind the leaders until the final stretch or he becomes frustrated and prone to misbehaving. He is always quick out of the gate, and nearly always gets the rail position behind the leaders. He holds his position throughout the race, and makes his move at around two furlongs when the front runners are tiring.
