Sparky is a highly intelligent colt, with the sort of brain that gets him into trouble, but also wins him races. He's just great at plotting his way to win. Sparky's a mischievious colt - he loves to take the mickey out of his handlers, and he enjoys a good practical joke (such as ripping grooms' shirts off!). He's got incredible speed, but a nasty grudge against any horse who beats him. Spark is a one person horse, and this person is the only one who can handle him, ride him or race him. She is Sarah Star. Within his first week of living at GHS, Sparky broke out of his stall three times, and leaped out of his pasture once, unscathed. Another one of his quirks is his tendancy to rush at people standing close to his stall door; it usually scares the hell out of them; something we know he finds amusing. In fact, Sarah swears Sparky can laugh! He makes a funny face with his teeth bared and his eyes narrowed and makes this weird noise that sounds kind of like a cross between a snort and a whinny a couple of times. He's definitely a one in a million colt.

Racing Style:

Sparky likes to lead the pack wire to wire, and gets extremely competitive as soon as another horse comes within his sight. He rockets out of the gate, settles comfortably in his front runner position, then relaxes at a reasonably fast pace throughout the race, until the final stretch. Sparky usually gives his all in every race to win, but is affected by weather conditions such as rain. If the track is sloppy, or the turf is too soft, Sparky doesn't seem to try as much.
