Gracie is typically well mannered, and when she and her jockey are cooperating (which is nearly always!), it's like magic. Her relationship with Stella is easy enough to explain; the two are like best friends. Before a race, instead of acting up and freaking out like the other horses, she is content to stand still and check out her surroundings. Although Grace is no fan of the starting gate, she goes quietly enough and never refuses. When racing, she stays cool and calm, waiting until the right moment to sprint from the very back of the pack. She has an excellent closing kick, which is usually how she wins. Grace is quiet and easy to handle on and off the track, and some of her favourite past times include just watching what is going on, and of course, racing her stable mates.
After her fourth race, Amazing Grace seemed to undergo some changes. Losing so narrowly revamped the filly's winning spirit, and she quickly became alot more competitive than before. Her times got better quite dramatically in the lead up to her fifth race, in which she broke her maiden, and she became fired up on the track. She did keep some qualities though - Grace is still a very obedient ride, and she still stays relatively cool and calm despite being fired up compared with the other racehorses.
